Donald “Don” Sonck is a transplanted Midwesterner who migrated to Southern California over 20 years ago. Though still deeply connected to his Michigan roots, like both his parents before him, who emigrated from Belgium following WWII, Don always felt the urge to experience life away from “home.” Year-round warm temperatures and the beach were his primary motivation to head west, and he has never looked back.
Over the nearly 30 years of Don’s professional life, he’s worked in every capacity of manufacuring and service industries, but primarily in sales, operations, and human resources management. Having worked for and with small business and up to and including Fortune 500 companies, Don’s experience has molded him into a highly sought-after written and verbal communications master. His op-ed snippets and more extensive essays have been printed in national periodicals including the Los Angeles Times, Detroit Free Press, San Diego Union-Tribune, ESPN.com and a host of other publications. Don is available for contract and retainer work; contact him for additional details.
